Delta and Virgin Atlantic to Co Share Space at Heathrow

Delta Airlines and Virgin Atlantic are set to co-locate to a space in Heathrow’s Terminal 3. Delta has said this should increase the ease of change in flights, or alternative plans for those Delta customers that might experience a problem.

The change is to improve the experience for passengers that travel often to London. Delta at Terminal Three hosts direct flights to New York-JFK, Boston, and Seattle. They will now transfer their Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, and Philadelphia flights to Terminal Three from Terminal 4.
According to Delta, this is a change that will continue to facilitate relations between the two airlines.  Often, if a flight is delayed, canceled or overbooked on Delta, they have an easy alternative with Virgin, and most are happy with the service from both airlines.

Delta has recently suffered its fair share of issues, with computer problems and power outages, resulting in canceled flights, and massive delays. With the co location, even if there continue to be issues of this sort, Virgin will be able to help them pick up the slack and customers can continue to have a good experience with Delta.
In the US, Delta is one of the most highly ranked airlines for customer service and quality of flights.  In this day and age, when airlines are cutting almost every amenity to reduce costs, Delta has done the same whilst managing to hold on to their loyal customer base. So here’s to Delta and Virgin, working together to make our US/London flights a fantastic experience.
