Stansted Airport has announced the ‘Meet the Buyers’ Event to be held on Thursday, October 2.This is an event organised to meet the buyers for business and networking forums. Meet the Buyers event assists the local firms to market their products and services to potential buyers and the requirements normally involve multi-million pounds. The event is regarded as one of the biggest procurement events that earn great profits to the people.
Last year’s event was attended by different companies including The Ministry of Defence, Essex &Suffolk Water, UK Power Networks, Uttlesford and East Herts District Councils and Suffolk and Norfolk County Councils. This event had a good number of deals recorded and a total of £323,000 was generated by firms for the first six weeks of the year’s lucrative event which was approximately 50% increase from the 2012 event. Research conducted afterwards indicated that over £1.5 million new contracts would be generated to firms from the event.
The 2014 event has confirmed several high profiled buyers such as HSS Hire, Premier Inn, Beumer Group, Carillion Construction among others. The event is set to be sponsored by Bishops Stortford Chamber of Commerce and Business Stortford. The event for this year has been expanded and will give the suppliers an opportunity to meet buyers who will come from major companies and organisations. The buyers have different requirements to be met and are seeking new local suppliers for the contracts.
Booking for the event is on-going and the cost of attendance for a supplier will be £125 plus VAT. Prior booking at£99 will be available up to July 31st for the ‘observer’ readers. More information is provided on the website www.stanstedmtb.co.uk.
