A Rogue Parking Firm Found Leaving Vehicles Randomly

A watchdog team has established that a well known parking company has been leaving passengers cars in random locations contrary to what they promise. The Company had been under surveillance after numerous claims emerged of their poor service delivery. Gold parking limited promises its customer’s safe and 24 hour parking services but a film of surveillance proves the opposite. Part of the surveillance team had to pretend that they were customers to see if the claims were indeed true. Their cars ended up being left out in an open area near Crawely.

The company charges its clients £90 a week and £150 for two weeks, taking care of passenger’s cars in a safe and secure car park. A car belonging to one of the investigators was actually found in a community car park while those of his colleagues were found in nearby streets. Earlier on, a couple that had left for a trip outside the UK complained of ripped out tires and extra miles on their car in the hands of the parking firm. They also said that it appeared dirtier than usual and to top off their frustrations they also had to pay a fine since their vehicle stayed in another parking space for two weeks without permit. Gold parking had taken their vehicle to another space without requesting or paying for it incurring extra costs for the couple. Several other passengers reported of stolen and damaged cars.

Gatwick airport confirmed that they have a list of approved meet and greet, parking and cab services and Gold parking was not in the list. When reached for a comment or an explanation, the parking company did not respond. Their website has been suspended following the expose. Passengers travelling through Gatwick airport have been advised to be keen on checking the authenticity of a company before seeking their services.
