Easy jet announces new routes as its growth continues to rise.

Easy jet, UK’s biggest budget airline is introducing new routes faster than any other budget airline currently. The airline has introduced three new routes from Bristol airport following an agreement of five years made last winter to continue growth at the airport.  Easy jet projects there will be 12 aircraft at the base by the summer of 2015. The new routes to Porto, Catania and Lanzarote went on sale this week with fares at an average of €33 for a one way ticket to these new destinations. This airport is the largest easy jets operation outside of London in the UK and Bristol’s largest airline.

Easy jet which is modernising its fleet with new Boeing 737’s is looking forward to increase its dominance on the low cost airlines segment. The airline says constant feedback from its customers have informed their decision and are confident that it will be a success. Kathryn Davis touts this as a step in the right direction in terms of increasing the number of inbound tourists to Bristol and creating more employment opportunities for the county.

In addition to UK, easy jet has also an additional route from Belfast international airport. This is the 26th route from the Belfast hub that will create an affordable link between Northern Ireland and Croatia. Easy jet says there will be weekly flights to Split as from May 20. The airline projects that it will carry approximately 6000 passengers in the inaugural summer operations. The airline had announced a new route to Reykjavik from Belfast earlier on which will start its operation in December 12. These new routes will be the only available regular fights to those destinations, giving the Northern Ireland travellers air services to beautiful destinations with wonderful landscape, history and religious interests.
