The airport is made up of 5 terminals, . Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are close together at the centre of the airport, they are all within walking distance of each other via underground walkways. Terminal 4 is on its own, on the south side of the airport. It can be reached from terminals 1, 2 and 3 via the free inter-terminal transfer service on the Heathrow Terminal 5 Express train, which takes about 8 minutes.
